What did I just watch? Entry 5: Dragon Half ending

I've talked about Japanese openings before, but they also make really good endings too. Most of the time they're somber and reflect on the more emotional side of the show. And some times they're like this:
This is from Dragon Half. A 7 volume manga turned show about Mink who is half dragon and half human. I never read the manga and it's been years since I've seen the anime, so I'm a little fuzzy on details. I do remember that Mink wanted a potion to become fully human so she can marry a dragon slayer. But the anime only lasted 2 episodes. I guess it aired on Fox's Japanese affiliate. Anyway back to the video. The song is called "My Omelette" and is sung by Minks Japanese voice actress. You can read the lyrics here. And yes. That is Beethoven's 7th symphony as the background music for a song about making lunch.

What did I just watch? Entry 2: King Gainer Opening

Japan gets an unfair rap for being weird. I mean they are, but no more then here in the west, as seen in my last WDIJW. Now I have a very high tolerance for weird stuff. An Italian plumber saving a princess from a dinosaur while eating mushrooms? Love it. Spandex clad superheros fight crime while jumping around like cheerleaders? Sure, whatever. Giant robot with dreadlocks doing the monkey? Sorry Japan, but you've gone too far.

The manliest shows ever!

Now as you know, I run a very manly blog. And we dudes gotta stick together. We know what we like and what sucks. Being  a man is no easy job, but there is a way to help. Manly TV! These shows know what it means to be a man and help get the adrenaline pumping! Yeah! So what are the best shows to watch between fixing cars and working out at the gym? Let's take a look!

My favorite anime openings. Part 1

Oh Japan. No other place can create such polarizing shows. Anime is something you ether love or hate. Or love to hate. Or hate to love. And then when you bring in subs vs. dubs, well I'm just glad there hasn't been an out and out war over anime yet. Whichever side you stand on, I think we can all agree on is that Japan can make some awesome openings to there shows. So I thought I would take this chance to talk about some of my favorites. Well, at least the ones I can think of right now.
